The Language of Marks

Discover how marks can communicate emotion, memory, and personal meaning in this four-part mixed media series for adults. Through guided mark-making explorations, participants will develop a deeper understanding of their own visual language before selecting a subject of personal significance to explore over the remaining sessions. Using graphite, watercolor, acrylic ink, acrylic paint, and oil pastel, students will create a series of artworks that investigate the same subject through different materials and approaches. This process-focused class encourages experimentation, intuition, and creative discovery, resulting in a unique body of work that reflects each participant’s individual voice and perspective.
